In our first piece we looked at ways in which we can reduce water waste in the garden and touched on the use of alternative cleaning methods. Here we look at how this can be achieved.
Water scarcity is a growing crisis affecting millions of people worldwide and urgent action is needed to mitigate this looming challenge. With this valuable resource on the decline we need to embrace more sustainable practices and non more evident than in the garden.
This week, from the 24th to the 28th of June, we are proudly celebrating Small Charity Week, marking our ninth year of honouring the incredible work done by small charities.
In an effort to uplift rural areas and assist local communities, the government has initiated the Unleashing Rural Opportunity Strategy. As a part of this strategy, a network of Rural Housing Enablers (RHEs) have been appointed across England where a need to support the provision of rural homes through Rural Exception Sites. The Rural Housing Enablers will be in post until March 2025 to address the critical need for affordable housing in rural England.

Small Charity Week (24th – 28th June) seeks to amplify, support and connect small charities across the UK, helping them to make new connections, showcase their considerable value and support them to have an even greater impact, despite the many challenges they face.
As part of our advocacy efforts for the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Sector in 2022 we identified a need for referrers to voice their concerns and share professional insights. To address this gap, we initiated Referrers' Network Meetings quarterly in Breckland and North Norfolk.
Loneliness is something most people feel at some point. It can happen when we're alone in a busy place or even when we're by ourselves. It affects everyone, no matter who they are or where they live. But even though many people feel lonely, it's still hard for some to admit it or do something about it.
