A chance for you to meet our Trustees and put names to faces,

Rachael has recently joined the Board of Trustees at CAN. Rachael works in external communications, covering everything from media and journalists, written articles, digital channels, social media platforms, branding and more.

I love the creativity and diverse nature of my job. I've always been drawn to working for charities, and I started volunteering at 14 at a wildlife rescue centre, the wildlife in question was mainly local pigeons. From there, I've moved around the country a bit, and even did a short stint in New Zealand. I am excited to be on the Board at Community Action Norfolk, to help support CAN's goals and do my part to build a stronger, fairer community.

Three fun facts:

  • I played rugby for 10 years, and am still a big rugby fan although I've hung up my boots.
  • Last year, I went travelling through Central America.
  • During my masters, I had a weekly radio programme and I've written for a local newspaper.
