We are delighted to announce an innovative new partnership with solicitors Clapham & Collinge.

Community Action Norfolk’s experienced development officers are now able to draw upon the expertise of solicitors at Clapham & Collinge when seeking clarification on legal queries raised by CAN’s clients. A second opinion is often useful when dealing with matters of governance and finance, and this partnership will further enhance the high standard of advice, guidance and support we already provide to voluntary and community groups across the county.

CAN is the leading organisation for engagement within the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector in Norfolk. We work with over 500 organisations directly a year with links to over 5,000 organisations, volunteers and community champions. We provide professional, skilled support to these organisations, from helping to find funding and planning a community project, to engaging service users, strategic planning and helping to build necessary relationships to collaboratively develop policies and services.

Clapham & Collinge act for a variety of local and national charitable associations, providing expert legal advice tailored to the needs of the particular charity. Many of the partners and senior staff have been trustees of local charities and have a wealth of experience in the sector.

CAN Chief Executive Jon Clemo says "This partnership is a great way that we can provide extra support to the charities and community organisations we are here to help. Running a charity or community group can be challenging and it's important that organisations have access to the best quality advice and CAN aims to be their first port of call"

Neale Grearson, Partner and Head of Charities Department said ''This is a fantastic new partnership to enable us to support the valuable services already supplied by CAN. It is a great endorsement of our developing charities department which is now one of the market leaders in this field in Norfolk.''
