The Charity Commission have published a new safeguarding strategy which stresses that safeguarding should be a priority for all charities, not just those working those who are vulnerable or at risk.  The strategy explains:

  • The Charity Commission's role, as regulator, ensuring that trustees carry out their safeguarding responsibilities.
  • How the Charity Commission will work with charities and other agencies to prevent safeguarding concerns from occurring.
  • The way that the Charity Commission responds to allegations and reports of safeguarding incidents in charities.
