This project is part of the government funded Pride in Place programme and invests in neighbourhood-based approaches that strengthen community connections, amplify resident voice, build local leadership and support collaboration between residents, community organisations and public services. This new team will sit within the oversight of Together Norfolk*, facilitating these local communities to foster asset-based community development.
The Community Builder will work directly in the communities of North and South Lynn to engage with residents and local institutions to help them to build strong communities. The role works to the principles of Asset Based Community Development as described by Nurture Development – training will be provided. The key ethos to this project is that communities have the strength and skills to build themselves, and the Community Builder role supports this by connecting that passion to opportunities and resources.
Access to your own transport is essential, as is good knowledge of the local community.
