At the heart of Norfolk's community-driven initiatives lies a longstanding partnership between Community Action Norfolk (CAN) and Anglian Water. For years, we have joined hands to deliver a community outreach program that encapsulates Anglian Water's vital messaging and encourages everyone to save water, today and in the future.
Anglian Water's dedication to "Love Every Drop" aligns closely with CAN's commitment to community engagement and in one of the driest regions in the UK where water conservation is paramount, this shared vision becomes a driving force behind our collaborative efforts.
Between 2020 and 2025, Anglian Water are investing £800 million in protecting and enhancing the environment, making strides in renewable energy and carbon reduction; their commitment to sustainability is evident. You can find out more by visiting Anglian Water's website.
CAN shares this commitment to sustainability and through various initiatives, workshops, and engagement events, helps people to understands the importance of saving water and looking after their pipes.
By disseminating water saving devices supplied by Anglian Water, we are reaching real people in the heart of our communities and encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices.
We are always looking at new ways in which we can get the community involved and are excited to announce our latest campaign where we look to grow a community network centred around gardening in Norfolk.
Primarily, the initiative will be focused on Allotments and Community Gardens in Norwich and surrounding areas and will bring together gardening enthusiasts who share a love for the environment. Primarily it is about nurturing a sense of community where enthusiasts can share knowledge, experiences and sustainable gardening practices.
As the gardening community continues to grow, so does the collective effort to make a positive impact on our shared environment.
(Please note this project has now finished).
Sign up to be part of this great community and you could be one of the many people who will get a free water but for your garden or allotment as a thank you. Terms and conditions apply, please see our website for details.
