We are sharing the following information on behalf of Norfolk Neighourhood Watch:

Crime Prevention

Norfolk Neighbourhood Watch is part of the largest volunteer-led crime prevention charity in the UK with over 2.3 Million members working in communities to support them to feel safer and more resilient places to live.

Supporting Communities

We provide resources, projects and networks that support volunteers and communities to work together to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour. We also raise awareness around safety initiatives, promote community resilience and connect neighbourhoods.

Our impact in local Communities

Our Community Safety Charter promotes a culture that does not tolerate anti-social behaviour, harassment, intimidation and hostility towards others. It enables others to identify and make a stand against these crimes and incidents. It actively encourages and supports those who experience or witness offences to report them to the relevant authorities. The charter also offers support to those affected and signposts those who need further assistance to agencies that can help. The collective power of a wide range of local community members, all working together towards a shared goal, has a much greater impact than us working on our own.

Making Communities a Better Place to Live

Our Better Place to Live campaign aims to create a better living environment by fostering new friendships, supporting neighbours, and reducing crime and isolation. As a registered charity that has been volunteer-led for over 40 years we are deeply embedded within many local communities. With evolving times and data processing methods, the charity now asks volunteers and members to register on our GDPR-compliant database.  When registered members receive a welcome pack, regular crime prevention advice, and can opt in for updates from local organisations like the local police.  It’s easy to sign up in three simple steps, and your account can move with you should you relocate.

Our different membership models offer flexibility to suit you. At the heart of each one is you, your neighbours, and your community. Once you have joined as an individual member, you have the option to become a scheme member by either joining a local scheme or starting one up.
