"The change will allow us to group our services in line with the ‘places’ used by many of our public sector and NHS partners so that we can work in the same, joined-up way as integrated care boards and local authorities.

The five new localities are:

  • West Suffolk Locality Group
  • East Suffolk Locality Group
  • Central Norfolk Locality Group
  • West Norfolk Locality Group
  • Great Yarmouth and Waveney Locality Group

Each is led by a ‘triumvirate’ leadership team made up of a medical director, director of nursing and quality and director of operations.

Roles and responsibilities of our locality leadership teams

Locality leadership teams will play a pivotal role in the transformation and improvement of mental health services for service users, carers and communities.

They are accountable for managing current activity and areas for development within their locality, as well as implementing the Trust’s future strategy. They are also responsible for managing and motivating colleagues to deliver safer, kinder and better services while building strong relationships with our partners.

The leadership team share some responsibilities, and also have individual responsibilities that are specific to their roles.

Final recruitment to the new structure

The final phase of our project to introduce a new structure has seen appointments made to operational manager, matron and community matron roles in each locality. The majority of these are now complete and work is taking place to appoint to the remaining positions as quickly as possible. We will keep you informed of any further updates."
