The Marie Curie Helper Service matches volunteers to families or individuals to provide those who are terminally ill or their carers, with support.  The can provide the following types of support:

  • Companionship and emotional support
  • Practical help with small tasks (such as running errands or getting to appointments)
  • Providing a break for families and carers
  • Information to other support services
  • Visits for up to three months after bereavement
