The Insurance Act 2015 comes into effect in August 2016 and will relate to all insurance transactions. The Act affects several areas including:
- Disclosure
- Consequences of Misrepresentation
- Warranties and subsequent claims
Charities will also need to comply with a duty of fair presentation at every renewal. As a result charities are urged to allow more time for renewing their insurances policy in order to gather the appropriate information. The Insurance Act is available by clicking here.
