Community Action Norfolk is working with the National Trust to understand what people like to do in and around rivers, what they might like to do and what could be stopping them from getting involved.

The project is focused on the River Bure but we are interested in hearing from everyone. The overall aim to understand how we can encourage people to be more active outdoors as well as how we can improve the health of our rivers.

Whether you are by the river everyday or have never been near one please help us by completing our survey by clicking here

Background

Community Action Norfolk is working with the National Trust to help increase the number of people benefiting from being outdoors. As part of this we are undertaking research to find out the sort of activities people currently do in and around rivers, what they might like to try and any issues that may stop them getting involved.

This is part of a wider programme run by the National Trust and the Environment Agency aimed at supporting river catchment areas. Only 14% of England’s rivers are in good health. The “Riverlands” project aims to address this.
