Community Action Norfolk’s team of experienced development officers provides professional advice and guidance on funding, governance and project planning issues to a wide variety of voluntary and community organisations, helping them engage their service users more effectively. A second expert opinion is often useful, however, when dealing with matters of governance and finance.

Our development officers are able to draw upon the expertise of solicitors at Clapham & Collinge when seeking clarification on legal queries raised by CAN’s clients; and to make direct referrals to Norfolk ProHelp for support with issued such as business planning, mergers and websites.

These partnerships further enhance the high standard of advice, guidance and support we already provide to voluntary and community groups across the county.

Clapham & Collinge act for a variety of local and national charitable associations, providing expert legal advice tailored to a particular charity’s needs. Many of the partners and senior staff have been trustees of local charities and have a wealth of experience in the sector.

Norfolk ProHelp comprises 42 professional firms who support community projects needing professional help to get established. The aim is to make a significant difference to community life across the county

CAN Chief Executive Jon Clemo says ‘These partnerships are a great way that we can provide extra support to the charities and community organisations we help. Running a charity or community group can be challenging and it's important that organisations have access to the best quality advice and CAN aims to be their first port of call.’
