‘Trust matters.’ The first two words in the introduction to the Charity Commission’s report ‘Trust in Charities’. In the light of the emergence of corruption and scandal in some large national and international charities, many managers and staff in the third sector are rightly concerned about how the public views them and the way they work.
People sometimes get a little nervous about switching energy providers – even with the prospect of making considerable savings on their electricity and gas bills. In King’s Lynn and across West Norfolk, the Borough Council in partnership with CAN offers a collective scheme which takes the worry out of choosing the right provider.
There are around 10,000 village and community halls across England. They’re key elements in local communities, providing a space for social events, fitness sessions, education and a host of other benefits.
