We are pleased to publish today the Sector-Led Plan for Norfolk’s Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector. The consultation draft is available to download below

The plan marks the end of six months of engagement with voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations across Norfolk. This has included workshops and one to one interviews with 200 sector representatives, 300 survey respondents and drawn on a wide range of data to get a strong understanding of the sector, it’s priorities and concerns.

It has confirmed that our sector is strong and diverse. We are around 3,500 registered organisations, with an estimated 6,500 informal groups. Registered charities located in Norfolk have an annual income of over £800 million a year.

Organisations face a range of challenges and have seen increasing demands on services, but are positive about the future. Organisations are becoming more enterprising and whilst there are certainly development needs, most organisations are confident in their operations.

We have divided the plan into two parts. The evidence section will hopefully provide you with a better understanding the VCSE sector in Norfolk. The second section contains a set of draft actions to enable us to address some of the challenges the sector and our communities are facing.

We want your feedback on the proposed actions within the plan.
Please let us have your thoughts and comments by the 22nd July.
 Email your feedback to office@communityactionnorfolk.org.uk

For those of you attending the Stronger Together conference tomorrow we look forward to seeing you and discussing the plan in more detail
