Development Officer

• Hours: Full time (37 hours per week). Some evening / weekend work might be required.
• Location: Dereham
• Salary: £24,371.86

The Development Officer will work as part of the Community Development Team and provide some support for our existing projects including Social Isolation and Loneliness, Big Energy Savings Network, and Good Neighbour Scheme Network.  This will rely on working closely with colleagues and partners to help more broadly address a range of issues.  The role will include: 

• Supporting a range of community initiatives and charities to develop and achieve their goals. This can include funding, project development, governance and engagement advice.
• Developing outreach activities and events
• Helping to establish specific initiatives to meet local needs and fill gaps in community provision from Good Neighbours schemes to community transport or luncheon clubs.
• Organising and delivering energy and fuel poverty advice to consumers and frontline staff, attending events and supporting information and advice sessions where necessary (Training provided).
• Providing support for and liaison with district authorities and other partners
