Women’s Specialist Practitioner

The Magdalene Group has been supporting women, who experience sexual exploitation and coercion, for over 25 years; we have a track record of building trusted relationships with some of the most marginalised women in society.

Due to new funding, we are seeking to employ a Women’s Specialist Practitioner to provide gender- and trauma-informed support to women experiencing multiple disadvantage and to provide specialist support to female sex workers and victims of sexual exploitation and coercion.

This role will have a focus on mental health and specialist housing support for women and previous experience and/or knowledge in this area would be an advantage.

The post-holder will be based within the Doorway Women's Service and will engage with women through outreach and intensive one-to-one support. The post-holder will work closely with partner agencies, ensuring women have access to support from a range of services.

  • Salary : £22500 - £26500 per annum fte.
  • Hours of Work :  37.5 hours per week.

Due to the nature of the role, it is a General Occupational Requirement that this position be filled by a female.  (This role is exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.)
