Could you join our Board?

Norfolk has over 3,000 charities helping 100,000’s of people a year – we help them.  Community Action Norfolk provides support to Norfolk’s voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations as well as championing issues that are important to them.  We are looking for volunteers to join our Board.

We are particularly interested in those with active careers, looking for a new challenge with the following experience or skills:

  • People with digital, web design, and marketing experience to support our strategic thinking around better use of technology to reach and support our beneficiaries and maintain and share our knowledge base.
  • Individuals with financial and business management experience that can help us balance our commercial viability with our social purpose.
  • Human resource & legal experience particularly around contracts, compliance and working in a partnership environment.
  • Those familiar with the changing landscape of health and social care that can help us lead thinking in VCSE involvement in new models of care.

No previous Board experience is necessary.

We are interested in hearing from people with a range of skills, not just those highlighted above. Commitment is approximately one day a month including Board meetings every other month. Community Action Norfolk is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee.

To apply please send a covering letter and a recent C.V. to [email protected]

For an informal chat about the role with our Acting CEO, Rik, please email us with your details and we will arrange a suitable time for you to talk.

Applications are welcome at any time, but to be appointed at our next AGM, please apply before Tues 12th October.
