Volunteering has a positive impact not just on the people who are helped but also on those who volunteer.  It’s about meeting new people, building skills and work experience, feeling connected, and helping in a way that works for them – it can often simply make someone’s day.

Here at CAN we have a network of community-based Good Neighbour Schemes which rely on the good work of volunteers giving their time and skills to help others who need practical help or befriending support. Read more here

Our CANConnect   scheme helps support people who may feel lonely or isolated to get involved in activities in their community.

And we’re working closely with North Norfolk Volunteer Hub at Merchant’s Place in Cromer. Take a look at their volunteering opportunities  or call 01263 519454

If, reading this, you represent or work for an organisation which could help spread the message about the need for volunteers across North Norfolk and indeed the whole of the county, and would like more information about how Good Neighbour Schemes work, contact us at CAN for more information.

If you want to find out more about setting up or joining a Good Neighbour Scheme in your locality, one of our team will be happy to come along and talk to your group or organisation.
