Community Action Norfolk hosts rural economy discussion events

Community Action Norfolk is hosting a series of discussion events, on behalf of the Rural Development Strategy steering group, looking at economic development in Norfolk's rural communities. 

Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and COVID-19 – can we postpone?

The short answer is, yes, you can postpone your AGM in the present circumstances. The government and Charity Commission recognise this and offer precise advice on how to go about postponing or cancelling AGMs and other critical meetings.

What's happening at your village hall or community venue?

There are around 10,000 village and community halls across England. They’re key elements in local communities, providing a space for social events, fitness sessions, education and a host of other benefits. Around 450 such venues can be found across Norfolk, and at CAN we’re out there helping many of them with advice on funding, governance, project management and trustee training.

Looking for good neighbours in the Stalham area

Residents of Stalham and the surrounding villages are being encouraged to find out more about how they can be Good Neighbours and make a positive difference to people in their community.  

On Tuesday 26th November, Community Action Norfolk (CAN) - with the support of Stalham Parish Council - will be holding an information event to explain how Good Neighbour Schemes work and how they can bring a community together.  The event will be held at Stalham Academy on Old Yarmouth Road, between 2pm and 4pm with a short presentation at 2.30pm.
