Voluntary Sector Update from the Norfolk Adult Safeguarding Board May 2019

Merger of Mind Associations in Norfolk

As a key stakeholder, we are writing to inform you that we are undertaking the formal process of merging the three Local Mind Associations in Norfolk, into one Mind.  The newly formed organisation, consisting of Great Yarmouth & Waveney Mind, West Norfolk Mind and Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind will launch under the new name of Norfolk and Waveney Mind on 1 July 2019.

Adult Mental Health in Norfolk

From August to December 2018 Boston Consulting reviewed the current state of adult MH in Norfolk and Waveney, looked at best practice across the world and helped develop a long-term strategy. The final version of the report has just been agreed. This is a narrative and whilst sets out the process and principles doesn’t include the 150 or so pages of the original document or the evidence behind them.

Since July 2018, the provider-led Executive Steering Group of ‘Shaping a Care Association for Norfolk’ has overseen a consultation process
