Norfolk County Council agrees budget cut

Following the meeting of the County Council on 20 February 2017 Norfolk County Council’s has formally confirmed a cut for housing related support (Building Resilient Lives) from £10 million to £7.925m in 2017/18 and £4.5m in 2018/19. The proposed cuts were agreed by 41 votes to 33 (with three abstentions).  To read the formal notice please click here

Norfolk’s voluntary sector together with the majority of consultation respondent had opposed these cuts. Significant concern was raised given the focus of these cuts are on services for particularly vulnerable people (an NCC priority) and that they represent preventive services (another NCC priority).  For more information please click here.  To see the response of Norfolk's Voluntary Sector Leadership Group please click here
