Norfolk’s hundreds of village halls and community venues are often at the heart of local life, their key-holders, caretakers, treasurers, secretaries and volunteers working hard year by year to maintain them as recreational and social facilities.

During the COVID-19 emergency, it’s more important than ever that their value is realised. And we’re asking that any village and community venue managers who have not yet completed the ACRE Network’s national village and community halls census to respond – the survey can be found here and in the light of current events, the deadline has been extended to Thursday 30th April.

It's a timely opportunity to express and present your views and concerns via a respected national platform. This comprehensive survey goes out every ten years to the 10,000 community venues across England. The data is used to help secure future funding and adapt to and meet new challenges in running and staffing community venues. As many responses as possible are needed, from village halls, community centres, sports pavilions, church halls, churches providing community use, Scout and Guide Halls, Women’s Institute halls, and community pubs providing meeting rooms.
