Funding: Department for Education Alternative Provision Innovation Fund - Deadline: 22nd April

Grants are available for projects to deliver better outcomes for children in Alternative Provision and extend evidence-based projects to new settings.  There is no set grant amount, but they are expected to range between £150,000 - £750,000.  Projects are welcome in the following categories:

  • Supporting children to make good academic progress in Alternative Provision, and to successfully transition to further education, training or employment at 16 or beyond.
  • Supporting reintegration into suitable mainstream or special school placements (where this is in the best interest of the child and children and the recipient school).
  • Improving educational outcomes for children in Alternative Provision through increased parental/carer engagement.
